News Update February 2017
This year at HOPE we are praying especially that ‘God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ’ (Colossians 4:3).
Many of you have been on this journey with us since Hope08. We are now building towards 2018 and a massive year of mission together, making Jesus known with words and actions.
In the past couple of months I’ve been invited to speak at leaders’ events in dozens of villages, towns and cities: Litchfield, Trowbridge, Sheffield, North Devon, Eastbourne … and many more. All over the country churches of all denominations are preparing for HOPE 2018 as mission plans gain momentum.
This Easter we are thrilled to be working with CV and Life Explored to offer churches a book, a 4-minute film and an explorers’ course to use as we make Jesus known. The Talking Jesus research ( shows that four in ten people in the UK don’t know if Jesus was a real person. Use Who Do You Say I Am? and make your Easter services great guest services this year, helping people to discover who Jesus is, why he died and what his resurrection means for us today.

Rhythm of Mission Rhythm of Mission
HOPE’s goal is to leave a lasting legacy of a rhythm of mission though the church calendar. We want mission to become part of the DNA of every church. Easter is a key mission moment – an opportunity to hold an amazing Easter guest service for the people in your community. That’s why we’ve worked with our partners to produce the Who Do You Say I Am? resources.

The new website offers the gift book and a free 4-minute film, which explore the question Jesus Christ asked 2,000 years ago: Who Do You Say I Am? Plus there’s a short course to help people find what makes us truly happy.
Who-doyou-say-I-amA gift to give
Who Do You Say I Am? looks at evidence and Christian experience to help people find out about Jesus. This beautifully produced, large format paperback, takes readers on a journey of discovery with interviews, testimonies and quotes from the eye-witness accounts in the Gospels. It costs just £11.50 (plus p&p) for a pack of 10 copies. Order copies to give away at your Easter services this year and start a conversation about Jesus.
A film to show
The book Who do you say I am? is accompanied by a 4-minute film that asks the same question Jesus asked his disciples: ‘Who do you say I am?’ Interviews with an astrophysicist, a theologian and an art historian are included alongside footage shot in the Middle East in the places Jesus lived. Download the film to show at your Easter services.

A course to explore
Life Explored is a 7-part series featuring a combination of short films, shot around the world. The course asks the question ‘What makes you happy?’ and points to Jesus as the one person who can satisfy our deepest desires for happiness.

You can download a free demo of the course, with three episodes from the 7-part series. There is also a free handbook and leaders’ handbook that you can use to help guide you.
